Our history
Herons International School is named after the bird, heron, which is a symbol of tranquillity and stillness. We need to understand these two elements well if we wish to recognise the opportunities in life. Heron also signifies determination because we are bound to wade through marshes and ponds through life’s journey, but we must never give up.
These work as an inspiration for us at Herons International School as we strive for excellence in learning. We want all our pupils to be successful, and we are constantly searching for new and innovative ways to make learning exciting so that everyone at Herons enjoys the sense of adventure learning brings and discovers how learning changes lives.

Our community
Herons International School is a community composed of learners, parents, and staff who are dedicated to creating an academically rigorous and inclusive learning environment. We are igniting the minds of our children to become lifelong learners with skills that match the current changes in our global world.
We use fun, research-based, multi-sensory strategies to help children develop early learning skills, including Lively Letters, Open Court for phonics and literacy, Handwriting Without Tears, and Everyday Math. We use Responsive Classroom as the basis for our social and emotional learning curriculum throughout the school.
